"The plaza is situated in an excellent location along a busy thoroughfare surrounded by other thriving retail centers in Ocean Township," said Carey Tajfel, president of TFE Properties, in a statement, according to NJ.com.

Since its 1980 start, the Route 35 South site has weathered ups and downs. Empty storefronts now dot the aging complex, signaling the need for fresh ideas and investment.
