Six contestants strutted their stuff at Nola's Bar & Lounge, each trying to nail the comic's signature style. Mark Maggi took the crown, and got a nod from Maniscalco himself. "Very talented and I thought I was looking into a mirror," Maniscalco said of Maggi, according to a video posted by The Press of Atlantic City.
Dressed in black from head to toe, Maggi nailed the comic's look down to the last detail. "I don't have to do an impression. The scary part is, I act just like this. I kinda am waiting for my residual check from him," Maggi quipped in the video, per NJ.com.
Each contestant took turns mimicking the star's wild gestures and famous faces. Some belted out "What's wrong with people?" while others tackled his famous "Chipotle bit." The crowd roared with each performance.
Ocean Casino Resort went all out for the special shows. Fans can snag official gear at a pop-up shop, while Ocean Steak & Linguini by the Sea cooks up "Sebastian's Favorite Things," featuring Italian classics like meatballs, chicken cutlets and spicy rigatoni.
Bartenders mix up a custom cocktail called "The It Ain't Right Manhattan" just for the occasion.
Want to catch a show? Eight more performances run through next week. Tickets are still up for grabs on the Ocean Casino's website.
