Westwood Cinemas will reopen on Nov. 14, after being closed since September.

"We know the wait's been longer than expected, but good things take time. Westwood Cinemas will be reopening on November 14th, and we're so excited to see you again. Thank you for your patience — we've missed you!" stated the theater in an update, according to Daily Voice Pascack Valley.

As other movie houses closed, like Township Theatre and Ridgewood, this theater stands as one of Bergen County's last independent film venues.

The walls hold nearly a century of stories. In 1928, crowds filled the seats of what was then the Pascack Theater.

United Artists stepped in years later. They split the space into smaller theaters but preserved the building's art deco features.

When Spiros Papas bought the theater in 1996, he saw past the worn seats and faded walls. His vision brought back the old touches while adding new life. In 2013, the theater was updated with 3D screens and new sound systems.

An official schedule of movies and showtimes is expected to be released soon, coinciding with the upcoming holiday season.
