Pacific Retail Capital Partners will complete an interior makeover of Bridgewater Commons through spring 2026. The remodel includes the food court and center court areas.

The makeover brings light colors and modern art pieces to the space, and planners have rethought how the food court works. New places to sit will be installed.

This shopping center first welcomed visitors in February 1988 — the mall celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2023, the same year Pacific Retail Capital Partners purchased it.

Since taking over, the new owners have pulled in stores like Kendra Scott, Miniso, and Pop Mart, along with eating locations such as Fogo de Chao, Alo Yoga, and Big Chicken. Local shops have found a home here as well: Athletifreak, Face Foundrie, Millburn Deli, and DIG all serve customers at this spot.

An open-air section called The Village at Bridgewater Commons sits on the grounds, with more than 150 brands, including Apple, Lululemon Athletica, Pottery Barn, and Williams-Sonoma.

"Bridgewater Commons has continued to strengthen its place as the dominant retail center for Somerset County," said Annmarie Plenge in a written release. Plenge serves as Chief Creative Officer for Pacific Retail Capital Partners.

The ownership company wants to help the property grow and change for the next wave of shoppers who walk through its doors.

Work will push forward through spring 2026 as part of the ownership group's investment plan.
