Raising Cane's will open a spot at 1036 Cedar Bridge Ave. in Brick by late 2026. This depends on local approval and permits. A company spokesperson confirmed these plans, according to NJBIZ.
The fast-casual chain will take over a pad site at Brick Plaza that's been empty since Quaker Steak & Lube closed five years ago. They plan to tear down the current 8,148-square-foot restaurant. In its place? A new 3,333-square-foot building with drive-thru lanes, parking areas and related improvements.
Federal Realty Investment Trust owns the shopping center, which houses Trader Joe's, Burlington, Barnes & Noble, AMC Theatres, PetSmart, Michaels, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar, AT&T, The Good Feet Store, European Wax Center, Cava, Crumbl Cookies, Men's Wearhouse, Wonder, and Ulta Beauty.
The Louisiana-based chain started in 1996. It serves chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, coleslaw, and signature "Cane's Sauce."
With more than 900 spots nationwide, this company is thought to be one of the fastest-growing restaurant brands in the U.S. By the end of 2025, the chain expects to have nearly 1,000 restaurants open across the country.
They also plan to open the first of several sites in the United Kingdom over the next 12 months.
Since opening its first New Jersey spot last year in Burlington, the chicken finger chain has added spots in Washington Township, Marlton, Cherry Hill, Deptford and Glassboro. A media representative confirmed plans to open by this winter in Fairfield and Edison.
The chain hasn't commented on local reports that it's looking to open at the Blue Star Shopping Center in Watchung. But the Route 22 shopping center's exclusive leasing and managing agent Levin Management Corp. says on its website the chain is "coming soon."
The Brick spot marks the company's continued expansion along the Jersey Shore. The new building will be less than half the size of what's being torn down.
