Tim Hortons will take over the old White Castle spot at 245 N. Main St. in Forked River. The Goldstein Group made this announcement on Nov. 24. The building stands alone and spans 2,000 square feet. It has a drive-thru window.

Chuck Lanyard serves as President at The Goldstein Group, while Mark Handwerker works as Executive Vice President. Both men represented the landlord, Sunrise Pointe LP. Jennifer Harrison, a Vice President at NAI Dileo Bram & Co., assisted the tenant in closing this deal.

White Castle shut down on Dec. 24, 2024. The chain posted about the closure on social media earlier. Customers can sit inside or use the drive-thru when the new coffee shop starts serving.

This Canadian company started back in 1964. It's now the biggest restaurant chain in Canada. Menu items include coffee, espresso drinks, Timbits, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch.

The Main Street building sits in a busy shopping area with good road access and lots of foot traffic. Stores nearby include The Home Depot, Wendy's, TJ Maxx, Burger King, Mattress Firm, Chipotle, TD Bank, Dunkin', Mavis Discount Tires, Taco Bell, Popeyes, and Wells Fargo.

"The new store marks another milestone in the brand's continued expansion across the United States," said Goldstein, according to NJBIZ. "We are proud to have played a key role in helping Tim Hortons establish its presence in Lacey-Forked River. This opening is a testament to the strong demand for Tim Hortons in New Jersey and further solidifies the brand's position as a leader in the quick-service restaurant sector."

The company didn't respond when asked about how many locations it has in New Jersey. They also didn't share when the Forked River shop will open.

This Paramus-based brokerage firm also announced placing Express Casino Car Wash and Lube at 3974 Route 1 in Monmouth Junction earlier this month. That space had been empty too.

"The former car wash and lube facility had been closed for a while and we were able to find a new operator to reopen the facilities," said Principal Neil Goldstein at the time. A late October announcement revealed a new McDonald's underway in Oakland, expected to open in early 2026.
