Shake Shack Opens 29th New Jersey Location in Union

Danny Meyer started this fast-casual burger chain 22 years ago. Customers can order burgers made fresh, along with chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, milkshakes, and custard floats.
Big changes are coming. The company wants to grow from 655 locations to over 1,500 spots worldwide in the years ahead.
New Jersey has seen several restaurants pop up lately, with openings in Brick, North Brunswick, Freehold, Old Bridge, Middletown, Edison, Jersey City, and Secaucus.
On Jan. 15, the Union restaurant will give away small custom totes to customers. That same day, $1 from every burger or sandwich sold goes to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.
Union Plaza is home to this new restaurant. Barnes & Noble, ShopRite, Best Buy, DSW, Marshalls, Dollar Tree, Starbucks, Foot Locker, and America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses also occupy the shopping center. Hours run from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, with extended hours until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
