Boxing Returns to Atlantic City: Figueroa Headlines March 7 Event at Tropicana

Boxing Insider Promotions will stage a fight card at Tropicana Atlantic City on Saturday, March 7. NABF super lightweight champion Justin Figueroa (14-0) tops the bill.

This marks the seventh Boxing Insider show at the casino since the company revived fights at the spot in May 2024. The building hadn't seen a match in seven years before that.

Figueroa goes by "Mr. Atlantic City." He's kept his record clean through 14 bouts and holds a title in the super lightweight class.

Boxers from New Jersey and New York will fill out the lineup. John Leonardo (12-1-1) squares off against Edgar Cortes (9-8-1) in an all-Garden State clash as Leonardo comes back to the shore town.

Lia Lewandowski (3-0) battles Indeya Rodriguez (6-8) in a women's fight. Lewandowski wants to stay unbeaten.

Josh Popper (5-0) brings a perfect record into the ring. The Somers Point, New Jersey, native started Breadwinners Boxing in NYC.

Jahanzeb Rizwan (1-0, 1 KO) will fight in Atlantic City for the first time. He represented Pakistan at the 2024 Olympic qualifier and knocked out his opponent in his pro debut at Barclays Center.

Jim Torney (4-0-1) completes the announced lineup. The Irish heavyweight measures 6-foot-9.
