The New Jersey Transit Bus & Rail Service remains closed on Monday morning following the weekend's winter storm. The Newark Light Rail and Hudson-Bergen Light Rail resumed regular service, but travelers were warned to expect delays.

NJ.com News reports that the River Line has resumed limited service but remains suspended between the Waterfront Entertainment Center and the Walter Rand Transportation Center in Camden County.

Access Link Paratransit Service will also remain suspended on Monday, says the agency. All shutdowns began on Sunday due to the winter storm.

“Crews have been working overnight and into the morning to inspect infrastructure and ensure NJ Transit’s 165 rail stations, system assets, and Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor are prepared for the safe and reliable resumption of commuter rail service,” the agency said.

Be sure to check the NJ Transit's website or mobile app for all updates. If you are traveling in this weather, be sure to remain warm and cautious.

“During a service suspension, customers may see trains and light rail vehicles operating. However, those cars are operating without passengers to keep catenary wires and rail lines free of snow and ice,” the agency said.
