Dick's House of Sport will open a massive 120,000-square-foot location at Cherry Hill Mall this year. Shoppers can try out golf bays, climbing walls, and multisport cages.
PREIT owns the Route 38 property. The company announced the planned opening on Jan. 26. This store is part of a bigger plan. Dick's wants to have 75–100 locations across the country by the end of 2027.
The sporting goods retailer started this concept in 2021. Since then, more than 20 Dick's House of Sport stores have popped up nationwide.
Two locations opened in New Jersey last fall. The first appeared at Newport Centre in Jersey City. A second followed at Freehold Raceway Mall in Freehold. Another site is planned for Rockaway Townsquare in Rockaway.
The Cherry Hill announcement came with other news. Four other retailers and dining concepts are joining the mall. Coach, Offline by Aerie, Pop Mart, and Suki Hana have all opened at the property.
Joe Aristone, PREIT Chief Revenue Officer, said the new arrivals "reflect the sustained interest we continue to see from both national and specialty retailers seeking a presence at Cherry Hill Mall," according to NJBiz.
"Each addition enhances the overall experience for our shoppers while contributing to the long-term strength and momentum of the property," he said.
Coach sells luxury fashion items. Offline by Aerie focuses on active and casual apparel.
Pop Mart is a character-based entertainment company. Suki Hana is a fast-casual Japanese concept.
The Philadelphia-based firm expects the Dick's House of Sport location to open sometime in 2026. No exact opening date has been announced.
