Montgomery Promenade will open this summer on Route 206 in Somerset County. Whole Foods will serve as the anchor tenant. The development spans 165,000 square feet and is completely leased, with 40 businesses set to open by fall.
Whole Foods is constructing its space now. It'll be the first tenant to open its doors. Businesses will begin opening throughout the summer months, Jeff Garrison confirmed. Garrison serves as principal with SJC Ventures, the property developer.
"To be 100% committed at a center of this size is an extraordinary feat," Garrison told NJ.com.
The center's concept mirrors how retail has changed in recent years. Experiences matter now. The aim is to create a destination where people can accomplish multiple tasks in one trip — grocery shopping, then a haircut, workout, or meal.
Tenants signed for the location include Shake Shack, Panera, Buffalo Wild Wings To Go, Robinson's Ale House, Iron Whale, Turning Point, Love & Honey Chicken, Angelina Bakery, Shinjuku Sushi, Wonder, and Toastique. Shops include Ulta, Hallmark, Woof Gang Bakery, and Taste Buds.
Fitness and wellness options will include YogaSix, BodyRok, Alloy Personal Training, and several salon and spa services. Health services such as AFC Urgent Care, IVX Health, and Deluxe Dentistry will also operate at the site.
Hair Cuttery, Image Studios, Spavia, Ariya Nail Lounge, Dor L' Dor, and Learning Care Group round out the tenant list.
The center features glass, wood, and stone in its design. Restaurant patios and public spaces are part of the plan. Community leaders gave input on the aesthetic direction, which aims to complement existing development while offering something new.
Infrastructure improvements for the township are part of this project. Traffic enhancements and sewer system upgrades are included.
The location sits on Route 206 in Somerset County. SJC Ventures, an Atlanta-based property developer, is behind the project.
