The 14,650-square-foot center packs in more than 55 fast-paced games. Players climb walls, jump, dodge lasers, solve puzzles, and plot winning strategies. Game rooms span multiple difficulty tiers, ranging from updated takes on familiar activities like Hoops and Laser to crowd pleasers like Mega Grid, plus puzzle- and strategy-based options including Hide and Press.
The first 50 guests at the grand opening snag a limited-edition wristband. That wristband unlocks 30 days of free gameplay, plus raffle tickets. All guests can join the ribbon cutting, mini competitions, and music from a live DJ throughout the day. Event proceeds go to Best Buddies.
The company operates two other New Jersey sites in East Rutherford and Cherry Hill. Founded in Winnipeg, Canada, the brand has expanded to nearly 60 spots across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
"We couldn't be more excited to bring Activate to this community and expand our footprint in New Jersey," said Jason Thompson, chief operating officer of Activate America, in a press release, according to MyCentralJersey.com. "Watching families, friends, and teammates light up when they step inside our game rooms is what fuels our growth."
Thompson said the company will keep pushing the boundaries of interactive entertainment. He pointed out that the focus remains on creating experiences and investing in the communities they join.
Players compete in team-based experiences built around skill, strategy, teamwork, and competition. The setup lets participants step inside the game itself. It offers immersive, technology-driven rooms where players tackle short-form challenges, earn stars, track achievements, and return to beat their personal bests.
The experience blends physical movement with mental agility and social competition. Each game room houses multiple games at different difficulty tiers.
