Things are shining bright for New Jersey. If you are looking for the right job, then New Jersey may be the best spot to look. Forbes recently released its annual America's Best Midsize and Large Employers list.

In order to curate the list, Forbes surveyed 217,000 employees working at U.S. companies across the country. These companies employ more than 1,000 people. But, where does New Jersey stand in this?

The survey asked participants if they would recommend their current employer to other individuals. It also asked about recent former employers and other organizations they were familiar with through industry experience, friends, or family. In addition, respondents were asked to evaluate their company across several criteria, including salary, work environment, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

But what does this mean for New Jersey? Well, for NJ, there were 22 employers on the large employer list. Then, another 15 made the midsize ranking. That's nearly 40 New Jersey employers placed on the list.

Some of the best large employers in New Jersey include Merck & Co., Johnson & Johnson, Spencer Gifts, BMW Group, Panasonic, and more. The list of midsize employers includes B&G Foods, The Vitamin Shoppe, University Hospital, and Capital Health.

How do you feel about your employer? Whether you're looking for a new one or want to confirm where you are. Check out the full lists on Forbes and see if your company made the cut.
