Breeze Airways Adds Tampa Service to Atlantic City Route Network
Breeze Airways will launch direct flights between Atlantic City International Airport and Tampa starting July 1, the budget carrier announced this Tuesday.

Breeze Airways will launch direct flights between Atlantic City International Airport and Tampa starting July 1, the budget carrier announced this Tuesday. Twice a week, planes will fly on Wednesdays and Saturdays. One-way tickets start at $79.
Tampa joins other new destinations the airline revealed last month. Charleston, South Carolina, and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, are also coming soon. Charleston flights begin May 6. Raleigh-Durham service starts June 11 on Thursdays and Sundays.
"The addition of these new cities and routes will give even more travelers the opportunity to save precious hours that would otherwise be spent flying through hubs or driving," said David Neeleman, founder and CEO of the carrier, in a statement, per the Philadelphia Inquirer. "Atlantic City is one of our newest markets, and we're excited to already be expanding our service there."
Stephen Dougherty leads the South Jersey Transportation Authority as executive director. He praised what Breeze Airways plans to do. "We're pleased to see our newest airline partner, Breeze Airways, expand its plans even before launching services at ACY," Dougherty said in a press release, according to the Courier Post.
Neeleman founded the company in 2021. His goal is to connect passengers in underserved markets. He has started four other airlines, including JetBlue. The Utah-based carrier now operates more than 300 routes to 86 cities. These span the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean, with seasonal flights mixed in.
Last year brought big news. The airline announced it had turned a profit for the first time during the fourth quarter of 2024. Revenue exceeded $200 million in that period.
Few major airlines run many flights at the Jersey Shore airport. Breeze is one of them, with a dozen or so departures and arrivals each day depending on the season. Last year, Allegiant Air started flying from the facility. Spirit Airlines has cut back its schedule there, which led to shutting down its crew hub in 2024.
American Airlines offers something different. Passengers can go through security at the location, then board a bus to catch flights at Philadelphia International Airport. All flights can be booked online now at flybreeze.com.
