The Saltwater Fishing Expo returns to the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center at 97 Sunfield Ave. in Edison. The show runs Friday through Sunday. More than 280 exhibitors will fill the convention hall, and visitors can attend over 30 fishing seminars during the three-day stretch.

Vendors will display saltwater rods, reels, tackle, and gear from companies big and small. Charter captains will set up booths. Attendees can check out marine electronics, boats, and kayaks scattered across the floor.

Seminars feature presentations from Nick Honachefsky, Jenni Ackerman, Shell E. Caris, John Skinner, Frank Mihalic, Anthony Maja, and "Crazy" Alberto Knie. Jersey Shore charter captains Khoa Nguyen, Tom Daffi, Jim Freda, Alan Lee, Cody Melton, and Frank Crescitelli will lead sessions too.

Doors open Friday from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday hours run 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, the show wraps up between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Sunday is family day. Children 11 and under get in free with a paying adult. The first 100 kids aged 11 and under will receive a Daiwa rod and reel combo.

The Fisherman will occupy booth 461 near the gate entrance. The first 700 new and renewing subscribers will receive Danco pliers as a gift. Sterling Tackle and other sponsors will provide giveaways too.

Tickets at the door cost $15 per day. Children ages 6 to 11 pay $5.

The show bills itself as "the biggest and best saltwater fishing expo in the east." A full seminar lineup and exhibitor list appears at saltwater.sportshows.com.
