A mansion at 645 Summit St. in Englewood Cliffs sold for $5.4 million on March 19. This set a new record for the priciest house ever sold in the borough. The sale crushed the previous record set by 67 Roberts Road in August 2023 by more than $500,000.
This transaction ranks as the most expensive sale in Bergen County. It's also one of the highest sales in all of North Jersey so far in 2026. Jason Pierce and Richard Orlando of the New Jersey Proper team at Prominent Properties Sotheby's International Realty represented the sellers. Esther Kang of REMAX Now represented the buyer.
"This transaction reflects where the Englewood Cliffs market is today," Pierce said, according to NorthJersey.com. "At the highest level, performance is driven by design, quality, and precise market positioning. The homes that meet that standard are continuing to achieve premium results."
The 11,000-square-foot French Colonial sits on a 0.43-acre corner lot. It's just blocks from the New Jersey Palisades. Architect Jorden Rosenberg designed the structure. Interior designer Vanessa DeLeon handled the interior work, and she's won awards for her projects.
Six bedrooms fill this house, along with nine bathrooms. The main suite includes a bathroom, a sitting room, a wet bar with a beverage center, and a walk-in closet.
The main level includes a designer kitchen by Kuche+Cucina with a hidden pantry. A great room has built-in shelving and a gas fireplace. The dining room features a glass-enclosed wine display, while a second-floor lounge offers a coffee bar.
The finished lower level contains a recreation room, wet bar, golf simulator, theater, fitness room, and sauna. Outside, a covered patio includes an outdoor kitchen. An inground saltwater pool comes with a spa.
