Honeygrow Opens 13th New Jersey Restaurant in Watchung

Honeygrow cut the ribbon on its 13th New Jersey spot March 20 at 1701 Route 22 in Watchung. The fast-casual chain set up shop at Blue Star Shopping Center, bringing stir-fry dishes, salads, and honey-sweetened desserts to the area.
This Philadelphia-born eatery now operates more than 70 company-owned spots spanning eight states — Pennsylvania, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, Virginia, Ohio, and New Jersey.
"New Jersey has been a strong and growing market for honeygrow for more than a decade," said founder and CEO Justin Rosenberg to NJBiz. "We're incredibly excited to continue that growth with our 13th New Jersey restaurant in Watchung and bring our bold flavors to even more communities across the state later this year."
The restaurant launched 13 years ago. Its name nods to "honest eating and growing local," placing weight on fresh ingredients sourced nearby.
Honeygrow whips up made-to-order dishes that fit different eating plans. Paleo? Check. Keto? Yep. Vegan and high protein? Got those too. Customers pick proteins — steak, chicken, tofu, shrimp, egg, or turkey meatballs. Then they choose a base: rice noodles, egg white noodles, whole wheat noodles, or greens like romaine, arugula, and kale.
The menu also shows off Honeybars — fruit and dessert cups in flavors like Brownie Crumble, Apple Pie, and Banana Pudding. Kids get their own customizable menu, and catering works for bigger groups.
Within New Jersey, you'll find Honeygrow in Bridgewater, Cherry Hill, Hamilton, Hoboken, Kearny, Marlton, Moorestown, New Brunswick, North Brunswick, Old Bridge, Toms River, and Woodbridge. Cedar Knolls and Montvale will get their own locations soon as the company pushes ahead with plans to grow.
The Watchung location sits inside the 420,000-square-foot Blue Star Shopping Center, which houses ShopRite, Five Below, Planet Fitness, Kohl's, Taco Bell, Marshalls, Dollar Tree, Five Guys, and Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa. Burlington and Raising Cane's will arrive at the shopping center before long.
Doors stay open 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.
