Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch placed 367th when researchers examined 2,500 hospitals for the World's Best Hospitals 2026 rankings. Newsweek and Statista released these results. The center earned a 61.79% score and won the Infection Prevention Award.
This Long Branch center stood as the sole Monmouth County hospital on the list. Nine New Jersey hospitals made the cut.
Newsweek worked with Statista for eight years running to find top hospitals across the planet. Researchers looked at four types of information: what medical experts suggested, how well hospitals performed, what patients said about their visits, and results from Statista's Patient-Reported Outcome Measures Implementation Survey, according to Asbury Park Press.
Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown led all state hospitals at number 53. It scored 70.74%. Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack grabbed spot 56 with 70.07%.
The Valley Hospital in Paramus took 134th place at 65.36%. Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center in Summit landed at 186 with 64.42%.
Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in Englewood came in 254th, scoring 63.13%. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick hit 320th at 62.26%.
Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark and Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro finished just ahead. Newark Beth Israel got 61.82% at number 364. Penn Medicine Princeton scored 61.80% at number 366.
These rankings help patients find places with dependable medical care. The report gives patients details about hospitals near them throughout the United States.
