Kevin Smith To Sign Comics at Red Bank Store This Weekend

Filmmaker Kevin Smith will hold a signing event at Jay & Silent Bob's Secret Stash in Red Bank on Saturday, April 4, from noon to 3:30 p.m. Fans can buy a $37 package. It includes copies of his DC comic Bizarro: Year None #1 and the new Quick Stops Volume 3 hardcover, both of which Smith will sign.

The line starts at noon outside the Broad Street location. Guests who pay the $37 entry fee will get the comic and hardcover plus signatures.

Attendees can also have Smith sign up to three additional items brought to or bought at the store for the same $37 price. Store officials set a limit of five total items per person, and that includes the two books purchased at entry.

"We are committed to helping as many people as possible access the signing, so please, please, please, for the love of Buddy, do NOT beg, plead, or try to cajole your way to getting more than five total items signed, including the two books you'll buy on your way in," store officials said on their website, per Patch.com.

A Red Bank native, Smith is known for works such as Clerks, Chasing Amy, and Dogma. He has worked as a producer, actor, writer, and director on different projects throughout his years in entertainment.

In December 2024, Smith announced plans to develop a TV show based on Jay & Silent Bob's Secret Stash.

The signing operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Store officials said not everyone who gets in line is guaranteed access.

Shopping hours the day of the signing run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and resume from the time the event ends until 8 p.m. Depending on attendance, the store may allow shopping during the hours Smith is signing.
